The acrylic panel of the aquarium is the largest of its kind, weighing more than 2,45,000 kilos and measuring 32.8m X 8.3m X 750mm. This was recorded in 2010 edition of World Records.
You can visit Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday. However, the operation hours vary from 10 a.m. to 11p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It takes you about two hours to explore the entire aquarium and zoo but the time span may increase if you wish to watch some shows.
Rates of tickets at Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo
There are separate rates and prices for different experiences. These vary as follows:
It costs for AED 100 which includes underwater zoo, aquarium tunnel, meet and greet area, behind the scene tour and underwater observatory. Children below 3 years of age are free of any charge.
It costs AED 150 which includes submersible simulator, big screen theatre, aquarium glass boat, meet and greet area, underwater zoo and aquarium tunnel. Only those above 3 years of age can enjoy this experience. Pregnant guests are not allowed for explorer experience.
If you wish to encounter various special and unique aquatic animals such as otter, ray, King Croc, you have to pay AED 200 for each of these. VIP experience costs for AED 300 and membership costs AED 250.
Best Time and Season
The best season to visit Dubai is during winters that befall from November to March as the summers in Dubai are the hottest and quite unbearable. Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo experiences most of the visitors during the evening but you can visit anytime during the operational hours.
